Freelance spatial designer, curator and visual storyteller working under the name Studio Saran since 2019. Graduated from SintLucas Boxtel (Spatial Design, 2014–2018) and the Willem de Kooning Academy Rotterdam (Lifestyle Transformation Design, Honours, 2019–2023), with a focus on participatory design, visual culture, and sensory storytelling. My work navigates the intersection of art, technology, and public space, with a strong emphasis on process, context, and collective experience.
I previously worked with Wintor AR experiences (2023–2024) as a UX designer and project developer/manegment, creating immersive augmented reality experiences in collaboration with institutions like the Amsterdam Museum. As a mediator and host at Science Gallery Rotterdam (2021–2024), I facilitated in-depth group encounters around art and science. I also worked on curatorial and production projects for BAK (basis voor actuele kunst), Indebt Studio, and Envisions, and was involved in exhibitions at Dutch Design Week and Salone del Mobile.
My recent freelance practice includes visual and brand identities, creative direction, exhibition curation, concept and program developer. I curated my first self-initiated project – a women’s retreat exploring connection, expression and creativity – in July 2024.
I work from a grounded curiosity, with attention to social ecology, care, and approaches design as a way of weaving people, places, and stories together.
With roots in various creative fields, we have continuously evolved our methodologies. Our commitment to understanding client needs has positioned us as a leader in brand design, helping small businesses and entrepreneurs articulate their values and visions effectively.
